Boston - Athletic Ground : Map credit National Library of Scotland The Boston Guardian of September 26th 1896 reported that the Boston Bicycle Club sports "took place on the new track, Tower Road, Skirbeck, yesterday." The grass track was four laps to the mile. The events were the usual 1, 2 and 5 miles races. Racing took place there for the next decade, the last meeting being held on Easter Monday 1907.

The athletic ground was developed for housing in the 1930's in the area that is now Rockford Crescent.
